Sports Massage

Targeted support for your active body, so  your mental health keeps running smoothly.

How it's different

I won't cause more pain... it's a pretty ineffective way to treat

Whether you’re training for a big event, managing an old injury, or just trying to enjoy your weekend runs without a nagging ache, sports massage can help you stay moving, performing, and feeling your best.

This isn’t about “pushing through” tightness or pain. It’s a focused, collaborative treatment designed to work with your body:

  • Identifying key areas of strain,

  • Releasing restrictions in connective tissue,

  • Improving how your whole system moves and feels together.

Most people think of someone digging into their body with elbows & feeling extreme pain from a sports massage.

I don't work like that, I use the minimum effective pressure to release the tissue.

Because I know that more pain = more pain.

Pain science tells us that fundamentally nervous systems recreate & retell negative experiences, over & over again.

Meaning that if I cause you pain, it's less likely to release.

This treatment understands the link between movement and mental wellbeing.

When your body feels free and capable, everything else feels more manageable.

This work helps you maintain that rhythm...

So you can keep doing what you love with more ease, strength, & enjoyment.

What Sports Massage Can Help With?

  • Sprains, strains & old sporting injuries

  • Localised pain or tension during or after training

  • Muscle tightness that doesn’t respond to stretching or foam rolling

  • Post-event recovery and performance maintenance

  • Boosting energy, mobility and mental clarity throughout the body

This treatment can be both preventative and restorative.

It’s ideal if you’re:

  • Building up training volume

  • Returning after a break

  • Or trying to work around a persistent restriction

Why not be supported in your exercise endeavours?

Lots of people ask a personal trainer for help when starting out...

This service is here to support your needs, in building greater performance, returning to exercise, or helping you navigate an injury and stay injury free.

What to Expect

Sessions are 75 minutes, with 60 minutes of hands-on treatment tailored to your specific goals.

We’ll start with a short check-in & movement assessment, so we can target the areas that need the most attention.

The work may involve deeper techniques, dynamic movement, and fascial (connective tissue) release

But always with communication, consent, and a clear focus on your performance and comfort.

Whether you’re a committed athlete or someone who just loves being outdoors, this is space to take care of the body that carries you, so it can keep carrying you where you want to go.
