SCM headache

The Sterno-Cleido-Mastoid Muscle is an important muscle for turning the head and inhaling. It sits at the front of the neck and forms a "V-shape"

Splenius Capitis headache

The splenius muscles are deep muscles in the neck. The name comes from the greek word for bandage because they wrap the spine and support it.

Suboccipital headache

The Suboccipital muscles are responsible for small movements of the head: nodding, shaking, tilting. They sit between the base of the skull and the neck.

Trapezius headache

The Trapezius muscle is an important muscle of the upper back. It helps to lift the shoulders and turn the head.
